Robert Freeman (Reino Unido, 1936-2019), fue un fotógrafo y diseñador gráfico conocido, principalmente, por su trabajo con The Beatles a los que fotografió para las cinco primeras portadas de sus álbumes. Freeman diseñó los créditos para los dos primeros films de The Beatles, así como la gráfica y las fotografías publicadas en pósters y materiales promocionales. Trabajó como director de cine en películas de culto en la época del «Swinging London». Freeman destacó como periodista gráfico para The Sunday Times, y por sus fotografías en blanco y negro de figuras del jazz, como las de John Coltrane. Fue seleccionado para realizar el primer calendario Pirelli del año 1964.
