Colin Prime – Rock the Photo

Colin Prime

Colin Prime (Reino Unido, 1948-2013), se formó a finales de los 60 en un estudio de impresión fotográfico para aprender las técnicas de revelado. Dado que la otra pasión de Prime era la música y no sabía tocar, decidió hacerse Disc Jockey. Merodeando por los clubes nocturnos fue como conoció a un grupo recién formado llamado Pink Floyd y también lo que le llevó a realizar su primer reportaje profesional. Syd Barret usó una de las fotos como diseño de la contraportada del álbum de debut, «The Piper at the Gates of Dawn». Colin decidió quedarse en la escena musical a tiempo completo, trabajando en aquellos primeros tiempos junto a Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Otis Redding, Rolling Stones, Santana o Bob Marley, pero por desgracia no siempre llevaba cámara de fotos.
